For five years Beastwars were content to jam in the depths of the infamous Hutt Valley. They started gigging, and their blend of stoner rock, sludge, doom, groove rock, etc. quickly made them popular with many in the NZ underground music scene.

This is the first track off their self-titled debut album released in 2011 to much praise. They have since released much more. Their debut album immediately placed #15 in the NZ album charts. The cover art is by renowned artist Nick Keller, and won album art of the year at the NZ Music Awards.

They continue to grow in popularity and have a widening fan-base both locally and internationally.
