Lo-Pan – Bird of Pray

Artist: Lo-Pan
Album: Salvador
Year: 2011

Rolling southward at midnight — one of the chosen few
Finding no words, so I sit tight — on a lovely mountain view
Moonlight flashing through windows — I’ll never see again
Running loaded and silent — on a stale cool wind

Bloodshot eyes seeing nothing — but hearing everything
Willing distance and progress — and all the spoils that it brings
Wear defeat like a road sign – another tragic tale
Muddy greens – and a sea of blue to sail
Speeding northbound — degraded — more with each passing day
Light exposing each dollar — and every dream I throw away
Words repeated mean nothing — to me the least of all
Sound that drowns out all troubles — I hear the call.

Bringing blood to my ears — giving words to my tears Caller holding the line – Raw allegiance confines

Recycled half dead memories — I play them all again it brings a smile to my face playing games I was never supposed to win “Red Letter Days” is the melody — to keep the walls in place Reliving nights made of amber lights — a sea of heads to keep the pace

Prevailing winds carry off again — a great and terrible sound a living breathing pulsing noise — causing foot to meet the ground red letter days cause soliloquy — a sieve from brain to voice retrieving lies seen through rosy eyes — believing soon becomes a choice

Rolling southward at midnight — one of the chosen few
Finding no words, so I sit tight — on a lovely mountain view
Words repeated mean nothing — to me the least of all
Sound that drowns out all troubles — I hear the call

With muddy greens and a sea of blue to sail
